ShareFest: Donate your items during Move-Out Week, May 16-21

Moving out? Spring cleaning? Find that box of batteries you’ve been waiting to recycle?

Donate your furniture, appliances, housewares, clothing, non-perishable food, and e-waste to ShareFest during Miami's Move-Out Week May 16-21.

ShareFest is a service and environmental nonprofit corporation dedicated to the collection and redistribution of items donated by Miami students and the Oxford community at the end of the academic year. Collected items benefit residents in need and social service agencies throughout the region

Celebrating 20 years of helping neighbors, diverting items from the landfill

In 2005, the first ShareFest collected items to help 65 families in need. Last year, ShareFest 2023 generated about 79 tons of donations and e-waste. Usable items were distributed to recipient groups throughout Butler County, and saved tons of items from the landfill.

  • TOPSS received 3,624 pounds of food plus 1,579 pounds of materials which were passed along to several families connected with the Family Resource Center.
  • Open Hands Pantry in Hamilton received an estimated 9.75 tons of food and materials to support their operation.
  • Parkview Arms Resident Council received approximately 1,200 pounds of furniture and household goods for a number of families in their community.
